Many people are uncertain about what is behind the material universe. Many actually like it that way. They are glad they can be certain that all religions are uncertain. Is there any system of belief or religion that's supported by facts from history?

"Is there a God? If you already know the answer to that question, how would you answer somebody on campus who asks, 'Is there a God?' Most of us would probably say, 'Well, it's such a big question, what do the greatest intellects of our generation say?' "

It's important to know what God is like-whether he's a mean ogre, a kindly person, or somebody in-between. We need to know so we can live our lives accordingly. Greek, Buddhist, Islamic, and Christian scriptures say different things about what God is like. Should we believe any of these scriptures?

The last third of the Bible tells about the life of Jesus of Nazareth. It seems we have four possible choices as to what kind of person Jesus was.

God tells us we're not going to live here forever. The life we get from our parents won't be enough for us. It won't give us the sense of eternity we believe we're made for. Can anything give us this sense of eternity and fulfillment we seek?

If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, certain things follow. Once you accept someone is the Son of God, you're duty-bound to find out what his plan is for your life.

Imagine a big group of us got into a bus and it started off. Soon somebody would ask, "Why are we on this bus?" Nobody would do a very good job of answering that question. People would be good at telling what we could do while we were on the bus-but not at telling why we were there!

Think of being on a bus ride with others for years-spending your time eating, singing, having kids, living, and dying. Consider what it would be like if the people didn't know why they were there!-and nobody on the bus could or would answer that question.
